It was a very weird feeling when the chest tube was being pulled out of me. The doctor took off/cut the bandages and stitches around the chest tube then told me to take a deep breath as he pulled the tube out. After the chest tube was removed the doctor took the remaining stitches and tied the hole from the tube tightly together. It was a bit uncomfortable but not extremely painful.Below is a video from YouTube that shows a chest tube removal.
