A Quick Vent..

Hello all,
I was planning to wait awhile until I had my results, but decided just now to get it over with. So I got a phone call from my OBGYN today... I had been getting checked every 6 months since after my lung cancer surgery, which has become a type of 'normal' since I have been seeing the Dermatologist every 6 months as well for the same high cancer risk reason. Well, I thought I was in the clear because it has been about one month since my last OBGYN check-up, but no, they called me early this afternoon and said they found some "abnormalities" in my latest pap. I am getting a more advanced screening for pre-cancerous cells next Tuesday, but considering my risk since I have had cancer before I am not so optimistic. I am preparing for the worst that would mainly surround having children one day, which is a must for me. I have a 'game plan' set-up for the worst case, but after looking at a simple google search it looks like cervical cancer is 100% treatment. I am concerned about my health, of course, but I do trust in my doctor and early detection protocols for this disease. I will keep all of you updated as I should know in a few weeks what is going on, whether cancerous or not.

For general information on the procedure I will receive on Tuesday, please go to:

Thank you everyone for your continued concern & support!

P.S
I plan to get a Colonoscopy in a few weeks as a precaution for future cancers..

Please remember, be proactive about your own health!!
