Hello all!
This morning I had my 6 month check up with Dr. Cooper at University of Pennsylvania Hospital. I brought in my X-Ray that had been taken about two weeks ago, and Dr. Cooper said everything looked wonderful! Dr. Cooper suggested that I get a CT scan and then see him back in one year, but since I had gotten a CT scan while at the Emergency Room a few weeks ago Dr. Cooper said to send over the results and disc to him. I will have another check up in 6 months, with a X-Ray, but after that it will be once every year for me!! I am graduating!! Once every year, well, things are feeling so much better today!!
To top off my excitement while I was at Petsmart getting my doggie, Oscar, some goodies the cashier working is a lung cancer survivor! I LOVE meeting survivors, afterall there are not many of us. She said she was diagnosed at a young age just like me, and she's had surgery without the need for Chemotherapy or Radiation just like me. I got her email address and I intent to catch up with her very soon!
OH, and I cannot forget to tell you that I also met a man the other night whose father passed away from lung cancer a few years ago. I got his email address as well, because he is very interested in becoming more involved with the cause.
Have a good day everyone!!
