Awareness is the single most important aspect of a cause, and without it could simply not exist.

Lung cancer impacts more people every year than any other cancer, yet it is a cancer with the least amount of awareness. Why? Well, I wish I could say the reasons were broad.

Lung cancer is the most stigmatized cancer. However, it should not matter if you smoke because nobody deserves cancer. Furthermore, tobacco products are heavily addictive and big tobacco companies invest billions every year to ensure this. Nobody is asking for cancer here, so again, stop the blame here. This disease also lacks funding most in part by this terrible label.

Lung cancer needs more educators. There are not enough people talking about the disease, advocating for patients, and encouraging for a change in society's overall view of lung cancer. It is crucial to know the facts, for your health and those around you. Learn the facts at LUNGevity Foundation, one of the only non-judgemental organizations fighting against the disease. LUNGevity Foundation remains cause agnostic, investing in advanced cancer research, and helping those in the community with their online support group - A must to check out!
