- Get a venue that will donate the space
- If a venue will donate their space then I can bring ticket prices down, ideally to $20 per person this year (in comparison to $50 per person last year)
- Returning guests that bring at least one guest that did not attend in 2011 will receive a discount ticket price and a free arm's length of Chinese auction tickets! (more information to come)
- Also, if the venue is donating the space then I can make registration easier for the event. I will require guests sign up for the event via LUNGevity website directly to my team for the Heather Saler's Walk at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Last year my team raised over $4,000; was top 5 in most funds raised, and helped contribute to the over $100,000 raised in the fight against lung cancer! (more details to come at LC Fundraiser page)
- Get sponsors
- I want to get sponsors to donate food. In the next few weeks I hope to begin contacting my local supermarkets (Acme, Stop & Shop, Wegman's, etc)
- The food this year will be lite, and may include (but not limited to):
- Salad
- Cold sandwiches
- Pastries, cookies, brownies, and other baked goods
- Shrimp cocktail
- Cheese and crackers
If you are a vendor, food supplier, business owner, entertainer, or simply know how you can make this lung cancer event better than last year, please e-mail me at: Heather042786@yahoo.com with the subject line LUNG CANCER FUNDRAISER
